    ABT Electronics sucks!

ABT Electronics has the worst staff ever. Their customer services is awful and their attitudes suck. These people know nothing about their products and will rip you off if you turn a blind eye. Watch out!! P.S. Print your customer complaint letters twice because they will claim they never got it!

    "Satisfaction Guaranteed"?

Their return policy is NOT a "no questions asked" kind of policy at all, either! When I took back some speakers they sold me that didn't work with my stereo, they not only got in my face about why, they also said that I couldn't return anything else and pretty soon wouldn't be able to BUY there!? What!? I don't want to buy there anyway! They have a terrible scam running and I won't be ripped off by them again!

I've had problems with their sales staff too. They are non-existent after the sale. They made their commission, now move on. I bought a dishwasher from ABT Electronics (it was on sale) - bad choice on my part. I should have researched the company a bit more. They were super friendly when I went in to look. They delivered it right on time and everything was grand! That is until the dishwasher would not work anymore. You could turn it on and it would turn on and run a few cycles and then turn itself off. Very odd.

I called ABT first and got nowhere with them on the phone. I then went into the store with my receipt and dishwasher owner's manual. I found the guy that sold it to me (not even 2 months prior), of course he was NO help. I then found the customer service department. They were a bit more helpful, they set me up with a repair man. He was going to be at my house between 8-5 in 3 days. The time line sucked but I wanted it fixed.

He showed up at 4:45 pm and turned it on, watched what it did and said he had to order parts. After waiting 3 weeks and still no repair man and no working dishwasher I called to complain. I went into the store 2 more times asking about my dishwasher. They kept saying that the part has not come in yet, do I want to look around and see if there is something else I would like to buy while I'm in the store? Are you out of your mind!

From the time I went it to tell them my dishwasher didn't work to the time it was actually fixed was 2.5 months. That is just CRAZY, a scam! I sent in a complaint letter to ABT Electronics headquarters. No one should be treated this way. They sent me a letter back saying how they were sorry and they were glad that my product was fixed. Seriously, that is all I get in response. It gets better too, I was charged for the repairman. I got a bill in the mail from the company (they didnít even send their own company). I took the bill in to ABT and said there was no way in heck I was paying it. It was under the original warranty!

My advice to you is to NOT buy from ABT Electronics. They suck!

We bought a dishwasher from them, too, and bought the extended warranty. We were glad we did! It broke down almost exactly 5 years later (but it was still within the warranty, barely). They charged me $149 for a repairman to come look at it! He turned it on, and back off, and told us that it was going to cost another $400 to fix it! I paid $700 for it brand new - it's stainless steel all through. It's a Maytag, so I called them, too. You know what? Maytag's repairmen don't sit around because the machines are so good. They sit around because it costs so much to get them to do work that nobody can afford it!

Purchased a new refrigerator with them that had a water line hookup for the ice maker. My condo building that I live in requires that that their be a certified plumber to hookup the ice maker. He came out hooked the refrigerator after some hemming and hawing over how to do it. He spoke with the building engineer and
then hooked it up. A few days go by and the refrigerator line leaks water all over the condo and the unit below me. It is going to cost me almost 4000 dollars to have everything fixed. I have spoke to several people at ABT about the whole thing and they just called me back with their final decision and guess what they want no responsibility in the whole thing. It is a customary practice in my building after a construction project that everything done must be inspected by the building engineers. ABT actually told me that once a refrig with an ice maker is hooked up it can not be moved at all and that they claim the damage could have taken place when the building people inspected the water line. The whole thing is ridiculous. I am so livid. I will never never ever buy another thing from abt. they suck.
